Young Thug appeared via FaceTime during Brian Steel’s speech at Emory Law School asking students to become defense attorneys.
After accepting a non-negotiated plea deal that instantly released Young Thug from the YSL RICO trial, attorney Brian Steel isn’t resting. Steel’s viral moments in the YSL RICO proceedings were like an athlete building a highlight reel during a televised game. His character and attention to detail shone bright, and the plea deal came before he even pleaded his case.
According to Complex, Steel isn’t resting after his big win and he recently appeared at Emory Law School. In a surprise twist, his client Young Thug appeared on FaceTime to speak to the class.
“We had a situation that was daunting towards my life and I think that the justice system could be bad. You know, sometimes it could be bad, and you gotta always look at it, like, they’re there to put us in prison and you guys are here to keep us from prison,” Thug was heard saying over FaceTime.
After detailing how Steel’s defense work saved him from life in prison, he turned to pleading with the students to become defense attorneys.
“Brian Steel is the best person possible. He’s very pedagogical and he should be a professor,” Thugger said praising Steel. “I think you guys should become lawyers. I think it’s very important to help people out of the situations they’re in the best best you can. I mean, what side do you wanna be on? You wanna put people in prison for mistakes? Because everybody makes mistakes, we’re human. And everybody in this classroom, you always need to know that you want one mistake away.”
With Brian Steel’s work as a defense lawyer, we’re sure some students were swayed by Young Thug’s message.
Part of Young Thug’s plea deal includes community service, and it seems Brian Steel is already on top of it. Hopefully, we see the two give more lectures in the future.
