As previously reported, the #RHOA star appeared on Tamron Hall Thursday and took accountability for the heated confrontation with season 16 newcomer Brit Eady that led to her exit. According to Kenya, she was protecting not only herself but her daughter by exposing “distasteful” photos of Eady at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa.

Kenya expounded on that further in her sit-down with Tamron, first noting that she was not fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“I was never fired,” said Kenya matter-of-factly. “There were a lot of headlines… ‘Kenya was fired. She was fired,’ and they were not true.”

She also clarified that she remains under contract with Bravo and still receives paychecks from the network.

She went on to tell the host that tensions with Eady escalated during season 16 filming when things “took a dark turn” due to Eady allegedly threatening her.

“There was a young lady who was new, and she just was poking the bear,” Moore said. “Everybody knows the saying: ‘Don’t come for me unless I send for you.’ During taping, the young lady escalated to the point where mics were torn off, there was screaming, obscenities, and threats directed at me,” said Kenya who alleged that Brit said “You don’t know who I am.”

Feeling unprotected by the production team, who she believes ignored her like a “Black Karen,” conducting online research about Eady and presenting explicit material she found during a taping session.

“I found some information with a few clicks and people helping me. I didn’t get things sent to me; I found them,” she explained. “I showed one receipt during taping, knowing the network would likely blur it out. I found a lot but I only showed one.”

“Were you building a moment?” Tamron asked. “Were you trying to have a Kenya moment, and this backfired?”

“I don’t think it’s a Kenya moment, I live my truth. My moment is my life. I don’t need to create a moment,” said Kenya.

While Moore insisted her intent was self-protection, she admitted that it was an incorrect move.

“If I could do it all over again…” started Kenya. “I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation, I’ve elevated situations before—and I’ve taken full accountability for the things that I’ve done. I am sorry for what I’ve done,” she said.

“I didn’t have to take it that far but when I felt threatened, I’ve never had a child and be in this situation before. So that’s why I escalated it to the point where I was protecting not only myself but my child,” she added through tears.

Kenya also denied that her actions were revenge porn and noted that she’s indeed still employed by Bravo.

Hit the flip for her comments.
