Lady Gaga and Adam Driver are ‘new blood’ in ‘House of Gucci’ teaser

It looked like love at first sight for Lady Gaga’s Patrizia Reggiani and Adam Driver’s Maurizio Gucci.

The newest “House of Gucci” teaser shows how the Gucci fashion house head met his ex-wife at a nightclub.

The quick 30-second spot features Driver, 37, and Gaga, 35, decked out in couture ensembles as they meet for the very first time.

The pair daintily shake hands in the clip and Maurizio slowly leans to kiss Patrizia’s glove.

“Gucci is like a cake,” Maurizio says. “You have a taste, then you want more, and then you want the whole thing for yourself.”

However, Patrizia wants more than just a cake. “Gucci needs new blood,” she wickedly declares. The trailer then shows rapid shots of a gun, the Gucci family living it up at a ski resort, fancy Italian cars and blazing-hot designer fashion.

The Ridley Scott-directed drama stars an ensemble cast that includes an unrecognizable Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino and Salma Hayek. The film primarily takes place in 1995, chronicling the events and the aftermath of Patrizia’s plot to kill her husband when he stepped out of his office. She was later sentenced to 29 years in prison during her 1998 trial and was ultimately released in October 2016.

Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri gave the movie’s production access to the fashion archives to use for filming. The executive told WWD earlier this year that the fashion house is allowing “total creative freedom.”

“Gucci is collaborating with MGM and Scott Free Productions by providing access to the house’s historical archive for wardrobe and props,” he said.

Patricia Gucci, second cousin of Maurizio, however, is not happy about the upcoming movie. “We are truly disappointed. I speak on behalf of the family,” she told the Associated Press in April. “They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system … Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything, but there is a borderline that cannot be crossed.”

“House of Gucci” hits the big screen on Nov. 24 and is based on Sara Gay Forden’s novel “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.”
